Catherine Walker-Thomas Remembered After June 2 Incident At North Hightower Street Home In Peoria
Catherine Walker-Thomas, 36, died late June 2, 2026, after Peoria officers responded around 10:12 p.m. to a hang-up 911 call from the 700 block of North Hightower Street.
Authorities said additional reports described an active disturbance inside the residence before officers arrived and found Walker-Thomas in critical condition.
Peoria Fire personnel and police officers provided urgent aid before taking Walker-Thomas to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center for emergency care.
Medical staff pronounced Walker-Thomas dead at 10:56 p.m., and the Peoria County Coroner later confirmed the identity after an autopsy.
Detectives, patrol officers, and evidence teams secured the home and surrounding block as the open investigation continued.
