Nicole Dominguez Remembered After 43-Year-Old Dies Near Railroad Tracks In Medford On Tuesday Afternoon

Nicole Dominguez, 43, died Tuesday afternoon near the railroad tracks at the end of Welch Street in Medford after officers responded to reports of a serious disturbance.

Medford police found Nicole with severe traumatic head injuries, and emergency teams tried to provide aid before officials pronounced Nicole dead at the scene.

Authorities identified 19-year-old Darius McCree-Santangelo and located the person about 20 minutes later near West McAndrews Road and Summit Avenue.

Officials took McCree-Santangelo into custody without resistance, booked the person into Jackson County Jail, and filed a second-degree homicide charge.

Investigators said Nicole and McCree-Santangelo knew each other, while surveillance footage from nearby businesses helped guide the early investigation.

Detectives worked for hours at the scene, collected evidence, spoke with witnesses, and transferred the case to the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office.

Nicole’s family and friends now mourn a sudden loss and remember Nicole as a daughter, friend, and familiar presence in the community.

Memorial and funeral service details will be announced later by family members.
